What is matcha?
Matcha is a special green tea made from finely ground tea leaf powder. It originally comes from Japan and has a bright green colour.
Matcha is used in many different ways in Japan. One popular application is the preparation of matcha tea. This involves whisking the green tea leaf powder with hot water until it has a creamy consistency. The tea has a rich, refreshing flavour and is often drunk at traditional tea ceremonies or simply as an everyday tea.
In Japan, it is common for matcha to be used in dishes and especially desserts. If you like matcha as a tea, you should also try the desserts.
Matcha is prized for its rich flavour, vibrant colour and health benefits. It contains a lot of antioxidants and a natural form of caffeine that is released slowly and gives a gentle energy. In Japan, matcha is an important part of the culture and a symbol of hospitality and enjoyment.
Who are we?
We are Alice and Olivia and we love Japanese culture. We think that matcha in particular is hardly available in Switzerland in the form of confectionery.
Alice is half Japanese and knows Japanese specialities particularly well because of her mother. Olivia has always been a fan of Japan and loves matcha.
For this reason, we decided to set up a small food stand and offer our homemade Japanese specialities, with and without matcha.
Our very good friendship makes everything twice as much fun. We strive for the same passion and love to spoil our customers with delicious delicacies.We are currently little noobies and offer our heartfelt products at anime and Japan conventions.We look forward to every visit to our sweet food stand.
